So we’re back with more releases for everyone. Sorry about the long wait XD. Before I get to releases, I’d like to thank EVERYONE who has DONATED.

We will be getting raws for the following (they have been ordered and are being shipped at the moment):

Chiro Star Project: Volume 04
The Summit: Volume 03~07
The Moment a Fox Becomes a Wolf: Volume 01

We are still accepting DONATIONS. Donations will close on the last day of the month (that is when I withdraw money from Paypal and use the money from donations for raws purchases).  All donations accepted in March will continue to pay for other raws. Please DONATE when you can, for your donations really help, and we DO use them for raws, if you have any doubts.

When you are making donations, if you’d like to specify which project that you’d like to donate for, please do so. If there is no place to specify when donating, please feel free to email us with your FIRST NAME and the AMOUNT that you donated, as well as which raws you’d like to donate for. If you have no preference, we will use the donations for raws that we need.

WE ARE STILL RECRUITING (what scanlation group isn’t XD). We are looking for TRANSLATORS, EDITORS, and QCers. Please apply and help us out! XD

Eikaiwa School Wars Ch05: Finally, another chapter of Eikaiwa! By Matsumoto Tomo, we’ll be getting more of Eikaiwa out asap! Hang on! XD
Running on Empty 04: A new chapter of our full-color shounen-ai manhwa. Eye candy for those of you guys who like good art!
Magical JxR Ch03 & 04: We are releasing ch03-04 of Magical JxR, which was “stored” up on our forum. With today’s release, we’ll be officially “dropping” Magical JxR completely, since the series has been scanned already. Hope you’ve enjoyed our releases for Magical JxR!

Happy Valentines & Happy Birthdays!

First off, Happy Birthdays!

Yes, I have been rather inattentive when it comes to staff birthdays, but I hope to remedy that today. I would like to wish Kagome999 & Nycmango (1/1), Rainbowskittles (1/4), CinnamonBuns (1/24), Gotchaweird (2/1), and Mllsandy (2/14) all a wonderful Birthday this year! Thank you guys for all your hard work (especially when your lazy admin has been been busy with RL and inattentive T^T). Please know that although I might forget your birthdays (I’m sorry T-T!!), I remember the hard work and time that you guys put into making NOIR a better, more active scanlation group. We wouldn’t be here without you! So Thank you for everything and again, Happy Birthday! Woot!

February 14, 2009 Releases:

Flowers of Evil Ch15: Finally, another chapter of FoE, for all those incest fans out there! More twisted LUV~ XD.  If you haven’t tried Flowers of Evil yet, please know that it is classified as “psychological” and contains “incest”. It’s NOT smut, and it deals more with the feelings of the characters, as well as their complicated relationships. In other words, it is NOT a light, easy, predictable shoujo. BEWARE XD.

Snow Queen Ch9: Another chapter of Wann XD. The story and author speak for themselves. Read to find out more ~! If you haven’t tried the series yet, try it out! It’s cliche (it’s Wann XD) but really touching. If you are into bittersweet shoujo, this is for you to try out!

Show Princess Ch4: Our joint manhua project with Sherbet Lemon XD. Since this is a new chapter, I will leave the chapter up for you to read and find out XD. If you haven’t tried Show Princess, give it a shot! The art is quite nice and the story quite interesting (although we’re only at ch4, the story is really building up). Chiro Star Project Ch15: We’re sorry that it’s been so long since we’ve released a chapter of Chiro (I know that there are some rabid fans of Chiro out there XD), but the raws for the series are quite.. UGLY and HORRIBLE, not to mention almost UNREADABLE (thus our campaign for donations XD). If you’d like more chapters of Chiro, please help us out!

A Wolf Warning Ch02: A new series that we started during our Christmas Release Marathon. We weren’t able to give it the attention that it deserved during our Christmas Marathon T-T, but I hope to remedy that today! It’s a cute, funny shoujo series with sweet bishie characters XD. If you haven’t tried out Chapter 01, please do so! It’s quite funny (I laughed and LAUGHED while translating the series XDD) and you’ll get hooked on the series in no time, I PROMISE XDD! So please try the series, you won’t regret it XD!

Happy New Years! After our long marathon of releases during Christmas season, we’re finally back to our regular releases!

But before we get to releases, I would like to beseech (BEG) all readers for DONATIONS. NOIR is accepting DONATIONS for better/more RAWs.  We would like to buy raws for:

1. Dear Waltz (no raws are online for us to edit, thus the lack of progress of the series)
2. The Summit (the raws are horrible and ugly to edit)
3. The Moment When a Fox Becomes a Wolf (we have horrible raws for V01 which is the only volume we need raws for)
4. Platina (like The Summit, the raws are really horrible and disgusting to edit).

We could really use some help! Please DONATE and help us bring you more stuff FASTER (better raws=less time to edit). All money from donations will be used to buy raws only.

Angel Diay will be continued by NOIR as our own project. Our joint partner has not contacted us concerning the series for a LONG time, so we’ve decided to release a chapter to keep the series going. Until we receive word from our joint partner, Angel Diary will be continued as our own project and not as a joint project.

Before leaving our happy leechers to leech, I would like to ask for RECRUITMENT! Please help us out! We are seeking DEDICATED Proof readers, as well as DEDICATED Editors.

For Proof readers, requirements are:

• Extensive knowledge of the English language: Your English MUST surpass my knowledge of the language at the very least.
• Dedication: Please do not assume that reading over the script and correcting grammar here and there are the only things that you have to do. There’s MORE.
• Speed: Proof readers are asked to finish a chapter within 2 days max. It doesn’t take that long. Maybe 1~2 hours a day for 2 days?
• Completion of our PR Test: Please download our test as well as the RAWs to be used for the test. Directions are on the top of the test.

For Editors, requirements are:

• Knowledge of Photoshop or any other image editing programs: We do not have time to train new editors who do not have even the most BASIC knowledge of PS or otherwise. We will take editors who have knowledge of PS, but no experience editing manga, only if you’ve read online tutorials and KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO.
• Dedication:  For newbie editors, if you are afraid of criticism and corrections, please DO NOT APPLY. Please apply if you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn and to be productive! For experienced editors, please do not apply if you are invloved in 100 other groups. I ask for dedication to our group, and abilities to meet deadlines, which can be hard when there’s too many groups demanding your attention.

Show Princess & Joint with Sherbet Lemon

We are releasing Chapter 01 version 2 of Show Princess. This is a joint project with Sherbet Lemon. Classified as manhua (originally from China/released in the Chinese language), this is a very pretty shoujo that will be aired as an actual drama soon.

For those of you unfamiliar with the holiday, it’s a day to “give thanks” (no, duh? XD).

As with any good holiday, we’re here to celebrate with more releases! We will be releasing 1 chapter every day for the next few days! Please come and check us out!

Thanksgiving (Thursday) Release:

Hitsuji no Namida Ch20: What is there to say!? The mangaka and the title speaks for itself. Great art, sweet story. You won’t regret reading it. The story tends to be more realistic, simple, yet captivating than a lot of shoujo’s that I’ve read. If you’re looking for something not too “fantastical” (where characters are doing something impossible in real life), but something more mellow and sweet, this is for you.

The Snow Queen Ch07: What can I say. I love Wann… Tear out my heart and drive me to tears with cliche and bittersweet plots XD (not to mention her artwork which is FABULOUS). If you like Wann, this is for you! Woot~ Go SQ XD!  

Friday Release:

 Evyione Ch09: Woot! Bishie merman T-T. This is for those of you who like retellings of fairy tales like “Little Mermaid” retold with a hot merman and a smart heroine. Evyione is for those of you who like a more developed plot line that builds up.

Saturday/Sunday Release:

Eikaiwa School Wars Ch04: Kyaa~ Finally! 400 days after chapter 3 was dropped, we are ecstatic to announce our first release of Eikaiwa School Wars. If you like Matsumoto Tomo’s works, this is for you!

The One

Hallo ~ Lovely weekend, eh~? I’ve heard that some people have already gotten snow in the area that they live… *sniffle* Unfair~! XD Anyways, here’s our release for the day.

We are releasing Chapters 4b-6 (3 chapters) of “The One”.

For those of you thinking.. “What..? Haven’t these chapters been released already..?” We are releasing the chapters that [RC-SCANS] finished (yes, it was originally a [RC-SCANS] project), but never got around to releasing. Please note, these chapters are posted as “High Quality” versions of the chapters that have already been released. We will be officially DROPPING “The One”. The Summit & Koi Yori Kiss Yori Daikirai!!

Hi everyone!

We’re releasing Chapter 14 of The Summit, which is a joint project with the group Mihashi. We will be releasing chapters of The Summit on our site, as well as on Mihashi’s IRC channel: #mihashi@irc.irchighway.net  This is a a shounen-ai/yaoi manhwa for rabid yaoi BL fans out there XD.

We have a new rule for all our joint projects. Please DO NOT host any of our joint projects. This means no personal hosting, or on hosting sites, or uploading on manga/manhwa viewing sites. All joint projects will ONLY be hosted on our site and at our joint group’s site/irc-channels. We will not give permission to ANY site to host our joint projects.

We’re also releasing Chapter 01 of Koi Yori Kiss Yori Daikirai!! This is a new series that we are starting! It’s a cute shoujo by a yaoi author (funky, right?). Although I can’t honestly say the story isn’t cliche, I find it very cute and fun to read. Not to mention that the art is cute as well.. XD

Happy Halloween & Releases!

Hi everyone! Trick or Treat!? XD No… you don’t get candy…but you get releases instead (which I think maybe even better than candy in some ways.. XD)!!

But before we get to releases, for those of you who are taking the time to read this and have seen the image up there and are wondering, “[RC-SCANS]?” We have BIG news! NOIR will be merging with the Korean Manhwa group [RC-SCANS].

What do we mean by merging? It means that the staff and most of the projects from [RC-SCANS] will be taken into NOIR (so two groups becoming one). Thus our extended list of ongoing projects… (kinda scary for us but good news for our readers? XD). This means that [RC-SCANS] will be closing down to become part of NOIR. To commemorate the occasion (Halloween and the merge), we are releasing chapters of projects formerly from [RC-SCANS]. These projects are being released as “joint projects” for now but will be continued as NOIR projects.

Joint Projects:

The Snow Queen (Chapter 06): A lovely shoujo series by the author “Wann” who is know for her works “100% Perfect Girl”, “Can’t Lose you”…and many others. If you like something sweet and dramatic, this is for you! Love the art…XD

Evyione (Chapter 08): Another lovely shoujo with very good art. If you like remakes of classic fairytales like “Little Mermaid”, then this is for you! Hot bishie merman…how much better can it get.. XD

Dear Waltz (Chapter 11): Another shoujo with lovely art, brought to you by the author of “Cynical Orange”. The story is more “realistic” (meaning no fantasy related materials), but the plot and characters are the type to grow on you as you continue reading. If you like a more developed storyline, this maybe the series for you to pick up XD.

Next we have our “NOIR” release:

Hitsuji no Namida (Chapter 19): A lovely sweet shoujo by Hidaka Banri, author of the ongoing series “V.B. Rose”. NOIR is continuing the series which has been dropped for over 470 days. The art is all Banri.. you won’t be disappointed! For those of you who have read the series before, we hope you like the series and continue reading and supporting NOIR! XD

We will pick up ANY MANGA/MANHWA/MANHUA that hasn’t been released for more than 6 months or 180 days (on MU) without asking for permission. Any project that hasn’t been released for over 6 months will be assumed as having been dropped by the group. If you have any concerns regarding our projects, feel free to contact us. However, please assume that if you ask us to drop a project that hasn’t been released for more than 6 months, our answer will most likely be NO.
